Nissan Reveals 2025 Murano with Expanded Safety Suite and Premium Upgrades

The fourth-generation 2025 Nissan Murano, scheduled to reach dealerships in early 2025, brings an array of updates emphasizing style, comfort, and advanced technology. Redesigned as a “road-going sanctuary,” the new Murano enhances the daily commute with Murano-first technologies and luxury-inspired design elements.

Premium Design and Enhanced Comfort Features

The Murano’s exterior showcases a clean, streamlined, wider body. A 2.6-inch increase in body width, combined with flared rear fenders, enhances its presence on the road. The front end is dominated by ultra-thin “Crystal Cube” LED headlights and a gloss-black accent that adds a refined touch, while a full-width LED taillight provides a unique nighttime signature. The Murano also offers larger, available 21-inch wheels and two-tone paint on the top trim.

Inside, Nissan has designed a minimalist, modern cabin with horizontal themes and luxurious materials. Standard dual 12.3-inch displays blend seamlessly into the dashboard, providing both instrument and infotainment functionalities. Premium options include massaging front seats, ventilated seating, and a panoramic moonroof. Inspired by “golden hour” light, three distinct interior colour themes include semi-aniline leather on the Platinum grade. For comfort, the Murano includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a newly designed steering wheel for enhanced accessibility. Rear occupants also benefit from added knee room, wider door openings, and Zero Gravity seat designs.

Advanced Technology and Safety Innovations

Nissan has equipped the Murano with advanced connectivity and driver assistance technology. Google built-in, available on SL and Platinum trims, integrates Google Maps, Assistant, and the Play Store directly into the dashboard. The standard Safety Shield 360 system includes features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Enhanced features, including the 3D Intelligent Around View® Monitor and Invisible Hood View, assist drivers with clearer surroundings, and ProPILOT Assist 1.1 offers intelligent cruise control with adaptive steering.

The Murano is powered by a 2.0-litre VC-Turbo engine producing 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard across all trims, and frequency-sensitive dampers improve handling. With a towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds, the Murano is designed to perform well in various conditions. Additionally, idle stop-start technology contributes to overall efficiency.

With its array of standard and available features, the 2025 Nissan Murano presents a blend of luxury, advanced technology, and safety features, targeting drivers seeking both style and functionality in a mid-size crossover.
