2025 Nissan LEAF Offers More Range, Safety Tech, and Comfort Features

Nissan has announced the release of its 2025 LEAF electric vehicle, with a starting price of $41,748. The latest iteration of the popular EV offers two battery options, allowing customers to choose the range that best suits their needs.
Performance and Battery Options
The 2025 LEAF is available in two configurations. The LEAF SV comes equipped with a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery, providing an EPA-estimated range of up to 240 km. For those seeking extended range, the LEAF SV PLUS features a larger 60-kWh battery, offering up to 342 km on a single charge.
Charging capabilities are robust, with the Quick Charge Port allowing the LEAF SV to charge from 0% to 80% in 40 minutes, while the SV PLUS takes 60 minutes to reach the same level. Nissan provides peace of mind with an 8-year/160,000 km limited lithium-ion battery warranty.
Design and Interior Comfort
The 2025 LEAF boasts a refreshed exterior design, featuring a restyled front grille, bumper molding, and headlights. Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights and fog lights.
Inside, the LEAF comfortably seats five passengers and offers up to 849 litres of cargo space. The 60/40 split fold-down rear seat provides additional flexibility. A leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a touch of refinement to the interior.
Advanced Technology
The LEAF comes standard with NissanConnect infotainment system, featuring an 8-inch display compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system includes Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation and four USB ports.
EV-specific functions include a charging timer for scheduling and an HVAC timer for pre-heating or pre-cooling the cabin. The NissanConnect EV & Services app allows remote access to various vehicle functions, including battery level checking and climate control activation.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on all 2025 LEAF models, offering a comprehensive suite of safety technologies. These include Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Departure Warning.
The LEAF also features ProPILOT Assist, combining Intelligent Cruise Control with steering assistance, and the Intelligent Around View Monitor for improved visibility during parking and maneuvering.
